Federal Way, WA – Todd Beamer High School seniors Wyatt Posz and Cara LaRue were recognized as Athletes of the Week on October 9. Both students represent the school on its golf teams, with LaRue playing for the girls' team and Posz participating in his first year of golf. The recognition highlights their significant contributions to their teams, both through their athletic performance and their demonstrated leadership qualities within the school community.

Cara LaRue has been noted for her positive attitude and consistent competitiveness as a member of the Girls Golf team. She actively works to improve her game, leading the team in points earned across all matches this year. Officials at Todd Beamer High School commend her for setting a strong example for her teammates and for her leadership both on and off the course. LaRue embodies the spirit of a Todd Beamer Titan, continually pushing herself and inspiring those around her.

Wyatt Posz, a senior, has quickly embraced golf in his inaugural season, described as having "caught the 'bug'." He shows enthusiasm for all aspects of the sport, from practicing on the chipping area and putting green to playing full rounds. Posz not only focuses on his own success but also actively supports his teammates, sharing effective strategies he has discovered. His initiative has led him to emerge as a team leader, often taking charge of organizing team responsibilities and activities. Additionally, Posz demonstrates athletic versatility by playing baseball, and is currently participating in fall baseball, showing that involvement in multiple sports can complement an athlete's development.

Both athletes articulated what it means to represent their school and be a supportive teammate. For LaRue, representing her school involves acting as a leader across various settings, including ASB, sports, the classroom, and the wider community.
