For those seeking theatrical entertainment, Centerstage Theatre is presenting “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” This run begins on October 2 and continues through October 25. Performances are held at the Dumas Bay Centre, situated at 3200 SW Dash Point Rd. The play is described as an adaptation of Washington Irving’s enduring Halloween tale, inviting audiences into the "eerie woods of Sleepy Hollow." The story follows Ichabod Crane, a newcomer and schoolteacher, who initially dismisses local superstitions. However, unexplained occurrences challenge his skepticism, leading to questions about the reality of stories concerning the "vengeful Headless Horseman." The Federal Way Community Center, located at 876 S 333rd St., will host two family-focused events. The Third Annual Pumpkin Plunge offers a unique pumpkin picking experience within the center's pools. Participants can swim with pumpkins and then take one home afterward. Later, the Community Center will also host Tricks n’ Treats 2026, an afternoon designed for a "spooktacular Halloween adventure." The PAEC will also feature a range of tribute performances and cultural acts. For rock music enthusiasts, The Black Jacket Symphony is scheduled to present Bon Jovi’s “Slippery When Wet” in its entirety. This performance aims to recreate the iconic album "note for note, sound for sound," in addition to playing a full set of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits. This event begins at 7:30 p.m.
The PAEC’s upcoming schedule also includes “An Evening with Celtic Thunder,” a performance of traditional and contemporary Irish music. This show is characterized by "show-stopping solos and spectacular vocal harmonies," starting at 7 p.m. Kicking off the 26–27 PAEC Presents “Season: A Season That Shines,” TAIKOPROJECT, described as America’s premier professional taiko ensemble, will deliver a performance with "thunderous energy and breathtaking artistry."
