Federal Way residents have a variety of community events to choose from in the coming days, alongside the regular City Council meeting. The City Council will convene at City Hall on the second floor in Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is one of two held each month. Meanwhile, Centerstage Theatre's production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is set to conclude its run this Sunday, October 25, at the Dumas Bay Centre, located at 3200 SW Dash Point Rd.
Family-friendly Halloween festivities are also on the schedule. The Federal Way Community Center, located at 876 S 333rd St., will host 'Tricks n’ Treats 2026,' an afternoon packed with ghoulish fun, games, and sweet treats for the whole family. This event is scheduled from 3-5:30 p.m. and costs $7 per child, with adults admitted free. For another Halloween option, the Pacific Bonsai Museum, at 2515 S 336th St., is offering a free 'Trunk or Treat' event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where docents will distribute treats to costumed visitors.
The Federal Way PAEC will feature a range of musical performances. Kicking off the 26–27 PAEC Presents “Season: A Season That Shines” is TAIKOPROJECT, America’s premier professional taiko ensemble, presenting their "thunderous energy and breathtaking artistry" at 7 p.m. Additionally, the PAEC will host 'You Should Be Dancing – A Tribute to The Bee Gees,' promising to deliver timeless hits like “Stayin’ Alive,” “You Should Be Dancing,” and “Night Fever” at 7 p.m. Another tribute concert, The Black Jacket Symphony, will recreate Bon Jovi’s iconic album “Slippery When Wet” live, "note for note, sound for sound," followed by a full set of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits. This performance begins at 7:30 p.m. All PAEC events are located at 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S., with tickets available at fwpaec.org.
Beyond entertainment, community members can engage in civic participation and reflect on local history. El Centro de la Raza is hosting 'Roll & Register Skate Night #2,' a free event designed to encourage young adult voter registration ahead of the November 3 election. This night includes two sessions, from 7:30-9 p.m. and 9:30-11 p.m., offering free admission to the first 250 skaters aged 18-24 with valid ID at each session. Organizers say the initiative aims to "make civic participation feel approachable" by combining a fun event with on-site voter registration assistance, a live DJ, and giveaways. Meanwhile, Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, recognized as the first church of Federal Way, will hold a Service of Celebration from 2-4 p.m. as the church prepares for its dissolution at the end of 2026, marking nearly 80 years of history in the city. The church is located at 2415 S 320th St.
Centerstage Theatre's production of 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' invites audiences to experience a suspenseful adaptation of Washington Irving’s tale. The show, rated PG-13 for suspense and occasional frights, focuses on newcomer schoolteacher Ichabod Crane's encounters with local superstitions and the possibility of the vengeful Headless Horseman. Tickets and showtimes for Centerstage productions can be found at centerstagetheatre.com.
